Nine years ago today I married the love of my life. "Love of my life"~ sure that is an expression used loosely by many, but not me. This romance that change my life started like something in a fairytale. October 6, 1993 was the night that it all began.. 17 years ago, but I still remember it like it was yesterday. Like a scene from a Lifetime movie a popular sophomore boy shows interest in and awkward..but cute.. 7th grade girl at the school's Homecoming dance. I was smitten to say the least! The following night a simple kiss on the forehead changed my life forever. I told my friends the next day "I am going to marry him one day!" It sounded absolutely ridiculous coming from a 12 year old, even if I did KNOW he was the one!! Like all young couples we just needed time to grow, and that is exactly what we did. Even though it wasn't always perfect, we always managed to beat the odds and come back together. Even when it seemed highly unlikely. I thank God for the mistakes I made along the way. Not only did those mistakes make me the person I am today, but they made me appreciate the few right decisions I made in my life among a lot of wrong ones! Who knew, the boy who stole my heart would grow into the guy I would marry. And, that 22 year old guy I married has become the most amazing MAN that I love with all my heart. He is an incredible husband and father~ Not to mention my best friend.

So, Happy Anniversary, Chris. I love you!

Amazing how such a small child can have such a huge impact on your life!! I woke up Sunday morning to the sweetest sound. My sweet angel saying "Happy Birthday, Mommy" She only needed a little prompting from Daddy! :)

2010

I said I would really keep up with my blogs in 2010. Here it is January 9th, and I am just getting started. Ahhh, being late! This is the story of my life! But, like I always say ~ BETTER LATE THAN NEVER!! :)

..Now, on to the important stuff. I will celebrate my 29th birthday tomorrow. But my own birthday is not the focus of my concern! My sweet angel will turn 2 in less than 11 weeks, and I have done nothing.. I repeat NOTHING to prepare for her party! Well, other than ask her daily what kind of party she wants! I have gotten answers of everything from Barney to Sesame Street..and MANY in between! Everyday was a new party theme, until she got a new "My Ponies" (as she calls "My Little Pony") DVD. She has been stuck on that idea for going on 5 days now. I think we have a winner!! :) Hopefully, I can get my act together now and get some thing ordered in the next few weeks! I guess my first task should be to find a bakery willing to bake a cake with no egg whites! Alex will be re-tested for her egg allergy this month.. We have our fingers crossed that she has outgrown this! It would be so nice to be able to give her more options at meal time. When a child is so limited to what she can have it makes meal time seem so repetitive!.. So, until next time, please pray for good test results! :)
